This weekend we shot the final scenes for our historical short film 'Hongi's Hikoi' which focuses on the 1820 journey to England by Hongi Hika, Waikato and missionary Thomas Kendall. We'd like to acknowledge Dr Jude Philp, Curator Macleay Museum, Sydney University, for the opportunity to film in the museum and university grounds, and also for acting in one of our scenes.
We'd also like to thank Bob Ellis, Keith Moir and the Sydney Colonial Muzzle Loading Club, for the opportunity to shoot (pun intended) on their shooting range. What a fantastic experience it was firing off the pu after our film shoot.
